Hey Everyone! So I just updated to Windows 10, and the audio is absolutely atrocious. It crackles and sputters and is loud enough to drive someone crazy! Before I installed windows, I had a fresh install of Windows 8.1. I didn't update the Realtek Driver, and everything was peachy. However, if I updated to the latest Realtek driver, that was when I started getting the crackle again. So I installed a fresh version of Windows 8.1 on the drive again,, and put Windows 10 on that drive.
However, now the crackle is back! I'm pretty sure it has to do with the latest Realtek driver which I think windows automatically downloads(?). I have a Gigabyte GA-Z97-HD3, R9 290x, Intel Core I5. Running a dual boot with Hackintosh on a drive and Windows on a separate drive. They live separately, so no problem with regards to Hackintosh 'messing with' the audio.
